    1. We are doing well. Had hand surgery two weeks ago, so can’t get everything done I’d like. Am taking my time arranging things in new place. I’ve been checking in with Jani once a month. Enjoy your Thanksgiving! We’ll be celebrating with Katie’s family in our new home.

  2. Wonderful column, Lorie; I think those who have followed your columns will miss you, but this piece will help them understand and accept your absence. I also think you personify wise decisionmaking and courage in facing realities. And finally, I hope you don’t plan to stop blogging.

  3. Thank you. Many people seem to struggle with this next (though certainly not final) chapter, I thought some could identify with our journey. I will continue blogging, yes, and have perhaps have more time for my book. But first, I need to unpack a mountain of boxes and put my new house in order. At present, all my creative instincts are going toward finding homes for all my stuff.
