Hi Lorie, I love your Mid-week Wisdom and just wanted to say that when I started my blog, my philosophy was “If I can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all.” Perhaps I should bottle that and start giving it away. I’ve often left horrified at what people will say under the pretence of false anonymity.
I agree with your philosophy! I’m always shocked at how nasty people get on the internet. And I’m not sure all if it can be blamed on Russian bots although they sure seem to like stirring up trouble. We just watched a pretty funny Ricky Gervais comedy special in which he talks about a few twitter wars he’s been a part of when people get overly offended by something. The refrain he repeated was, “I should have let it go.” Needless to say, he didn’t and it made for great comedy.
