What’s irritates me about my house?

What bothers me today is definitely the snow-pack–now ice-pack–on our huge north facing deck. And the temps aren’t helping. Even though the sun was shining, it didn’t get above freezing today and will only get into mid-thirties over the next week. Brrr…

We hacked away at it bit, but beneath the powdery stuff on top, it’s solid ice. That thick sheet of ice only responds to repeated chopping with a square-point shovel. It’s impossible to make much progress. And did I mention it’s COLD?

I’m grateful that our house is snug and warm. But the hot tub is inaccessible.

Definitely a first-world problem.
