The bully? The young woman who cut me off in traffic? The angry old man at the city council meeting? Those sadly misinformed and misguided voters who happen to be my neighbors and family? I try to pause, take a breath, and give them a little space and grace. I also remind myself it’s not about me. I’m merely a convenient target. Hurt people hurt people.
Be curious, not judgemental. And be kind. Just be kind.
