For new followers and readers, I’ll repost this series of little blurbs about locations in my novel Us, Now and Then on the next few Fridays. XO
Since so much of Us, Now and Then is set in Carson City, Nevada as well as the Eastern Sierra, I thought you might like to see a few of the places where Claire and Libby have lived and worked. I hope to share a different photo every Friday for a while.
This is Adele’s. Libby’s husband Jack brought home take-out from here when Claire first arrives in town. Adele’s has long been a landmark on Carson Street. Sadly it recently suffered a devastating fire from which it cannot recover.
Read more here about its history and why it held such a special place in the hearts of Carson Citizens. Unless funds can be raised to move it, the beautiful building will be razed to expand the gas station next door.
Update. April 19, 2020. Sadly, the demolition of Adele’s has begun. Read more and see photos here.

Unfortunately not enough money was raised by March 1 and so Adele’s building is supposed to be torn down.
